Limerick #21641 on blutwurst, blood sausage… by PGS and SheilaB

German Wurst, English sausage: the same! But consider the blood pudding’s name: Blutwurst sausage is trouble? The word sausage used double? Though that isn’t the source of its fame.Blutwurst is a German sausage that is made with beef blood, bits of pork and beef, and seasonings. It is a precooked sausage, but it is sometimes heated again before serving as a dish preferably with sauerkraut. The misnomer blutwurst sausage may be found in some kitchen glossaries, but we prefer to call it Blutwurst, or blood sausage.

Sausage in syrup: I’m not the only one? *laughs* I admit the bologna and sweet roll thing sounds GROSS, but then again, I’m the one who would put syrup over her pancakes and then the eggs and then the sausage.
